About Philip Egan

I am a fashion design graduate from National College of Art & Design, where I developed my skills in pattern drafting, garment construction, sewing, and design. I have a keen interest in technical and experimental styles, and I am proficient in using Lectra and CLO 3D software. I have recently worked as a junior pattern drafter at Styletex Limited, a leading womenswear manufacturer in Ireland. At Styletex, I was responsible for drafting patterns, grading all patterns going into production, marker making, costing sheets, and communicating the garment construction with the seamstresses. I also attended fit meetings with designers and made adjustments to the patterns as needed. I contributed to the production of a wide variety of styles, ranging from tops, bottoms, dresses, kidwear, and maternity. I enjoyed working as part of a fast-paced and creative team, and I learned a lot from the feedback and guidance of my colleagues and managers. I am motivated by challenging and innovative projects, and I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to new opportunities in the fashion industry. I believe I can bring a diverse and fresh perspective to any team, as I have also gained valuable experience as a studio intern for Robert Wun, Alison Conneely and Roisin Gartland, where I assisted in various aspects of their collections, such as pattern cutting, sewing, hand finishing, photoshoots and sample sales.
