About Philip Jansen

I am the founder of a Texas-based facilities management business. Currently, we have a strong market presence in the West Texas region (Lubbock area) and are currently expanding our services into the education sector. I started Southwest Cleaning in 1991 while still a junior in high school. At that time it wasn't an established company so much as it was a high school kid cleaning a small car dealership along with a couple of oil field offices in West Texas. As time progressed I really began to see a need for quality janitorial businesses that ran like organized companies versus the typical small, disorganized "mom and pop" type that seemed to be so prevalent in our fragmented industry. Currently we clean approximately 2.5 million square feet every night and more importantly, I'm extremely proud that we have a 95% customer retention rate and have served many of our customers for more than 10 years. Southwest Cleaning could not provide such exceptional service without dedicated team members; a great number of our 195 employees have been with us for more than 10 years.
