After decades of working in business, investing, and non-profit organizations, I have learned one key lesson. It is about the people. It is ALWAYS about the people. I am passionate about creating a special place for people to belong and excel. Sometimes a place to belong is a workplace, sometimes that is home, and sometimes that is a shared experience like a retail shop or a kids camp. The joy that comes from building a plan to do something amazing with others is energizing. When that amazing thing comes to reality, the joy seen in the team that made it happen is indescribable. Today, social change through non-profit organizations needs good leaders and, it has become increasingly important to leverage the experience of a CEO or President who can lead an organization based on a clear strategic vision and a strong connection with partners who will help make that desired change a reality. Those partnerships include the dedicated team, the board, and those who donate time, talent, and money. I am very excited to continue to learn and leverage my experience with management consulting and a time-tested operational track record to deliver new profitability for privately held mid-cap or private equity portfolio companies.
