About Philip Mitchell

After dipping my toes into sustainability as a fund manager, I completely submerged myself from January 2020. There followed two years of Environmental-focused work, first with BWB (collaborating with the EU Climate-KIC team) and then establishing the financial services team at Carbon Intelligence, one of the UK's leading environmental consultants. After 20 months swimming in the Net Zero sea, grappling with everything from TCFD to carbon pricing, I surfaced at wealth manager Formue, developing the sustainability advisory offering both for clients' investments and, if relevant, their companies. Previously, I worked in equities for 23 years, most of those with a focus on the Consumer sector. This has included stints as analyst, specialist salesperson, and most recently as a Global Consumer PM in Sweden. This coverage included Retail, Luxury Goods, Media, FMCG, Leisure, Tobacco, Property and Autos. I have been involved in all angles of the financial food chain, from research to banking, ECM to private equity, and hedge funds to pension funds.
