About Philip Morby

I am an enthusiastic and ambitious developer with experience in testing enterprise software and games development, having originally graduated from the University of Derby with a 2:1 in BSc (Hons) Computer Games Programming. After spending a year as an industrial trainee at IBM, I was given the opportunity to return, taking on a development and test role within the IBM Integration Bus team.Having spent nearly 2 years working on Integration Bus in various areas, I then moved to working on IBM's cloud offering; Bluemix. I assisted in setting up the testing framework for this project, gaining experience in a range of technologies like Maven and Ant.In April 2015, I moved back to IIB and aimed to gain a better understanding of the overall product in the. With this new knowledge, I was able to assist and started adding features to the web ui for IIB, like the admin log.In May 2016 I moved to my current employer, Sophos. Here I have continued to focus on test, helping with new creating and maintaining new IAAS offerings as they are added to Sophos Central. This has allowed me to grow in new areas, understanding different cloud offerings like AWS and Microsoft Azure.While on placement at IBM during 2010-2011 I focused solely on testing, an area I have always had a keen interest in since managing to break my friends Visual Basic program at college.
