30+ years experience in various customer service, inside sales and technical support roles, including several years as department supervisor/manager. Excellent teaching, conflict resolution and leadership skills. Excellent communication skills in English and French (spoken and written). Strong planning, organisational and problem solving skills. Over the years I've found that the troubleshooting/problem solving skills one learns in electronics & tech support lend themselves very well to evaluating company processes as well. The ability to analyze when things have gone wrong and identify the cracks in the system allows you to make the process improvements needed to keep it from happening again. From a supervisory perspective my approach is pretty simple. Don't just tell people what needs to be done, help them to understand how the processes and departments work together in order to get the job done from start to finish. When they understand that, they are able to work well independently and they too are able to anticipate where problems could occur and help prevent them from happening in the first place. After all, who knows the processes better than the people who work with them every day. Then I simply say if you KNOW what needs to be done, do it. If you THINK you know what needs to be done, talk to me. I love living in Barrie and I'm very active active in the community. I am a Level 2 NCCP trained volleyball coach and have been a volunteer youth coach in the area for over 10 years, I've played slo-pitch in the area for longer than that, and over the last several years I've been involved in organizing fundraising events for the Women & Children's Shelter of Barrie. It's a wonderful area and a great place to raise a family.
