I am currently seeking a new and fresh challenge. I have extensive experience predominantly in the service sector spanning over 25 years mainly relating to the catering and hospitality industry ranging from contract catering, hotels and events catering. In my current role I am a weddings venue manager - managing up to 265 weddings with a top end capacity of 200. I'm responsible for all catering & hospitality activites within the venue directly employed by Jenkinsons who are the exclusive caterer. As part of my role I support our sister venue in Herefordshire. My key responsibilities include - running the weddings, managing a team of up to 50 staff dealing with all aspects of the weddings operation, procurement, controlling budgets / PAR stocks, all aspects of human resources - including recruitment, training and appraisals, managing client relationships, and meeting all health & safety/food safety criteria. Prior to this I have over 15 years of experience as a hotelier working across operational departments supporting department heads, duty management, running all types of functions and conference & banqueting. I have always been a "hands - on" manager and have a passion for great service, a happy motivated team and giving guests the wow factor and a memorable impacting experience. I enjoy being busy and delivering results through great teamwork and communicating with others to achieve the best outcome. I can see how the little things made a big difference, and how strong performance and service relies on strong management, controls, structure and a positive personality. I am a strong team player with motivation, passion and energy to see the job through to the end. I’m friendly, and a very optimistic, communicative and positive person.
