Hospitals move fast—until they don’t. A delayed bed, a missed transport, or an overwhelmed EVS team can grind patient flow to a halt. When every minute matters, disjointed communication and siloed systems are more than inconvenient—they’re dangerous. Many healthcare systems feel this pressure daily but lack the coordination and leadership to solve it in real time. That’s where I come in. With 20+ years in healthcare, I bring a 360° view of hospital operations—from the back of an ambulance to the frontline of ER trauma, to the command center where the entire system converges. Today, I lead real-time hospital operations at UT Southwestern as Command Center Supervisor, where I coordinate EVS, transport logistics, and throughput across departments. My role is to ensure that every patient, bed, and team is moving efficiently and safely—especially when the unexpected happens. Results I’m proud of: • Boosted EVS technicians’ Vocera compliance from 55% to 98% in just 6 months, enhancing communication and response time. • Created a centralized process for tracking and fulfilling bed delivery requests across EVS, Logistics, and Command Center Ops. • Refined and implemented a consistent shift handoff process for EVS Command Center Leads, improving continuity and accountability. • Developed real-time data collection workflows to identify operational gaps and improve decision-making for EVS and Patient Transport. What sets me apart is my ability to lead through change. My background spans pre-hospital EMS, bedside trauma care, and frontline patient advocacy. I was the first Emergency Department Liaison at UT Southwestern—a role I shaped from scratch into a trusted bridge between patients, families, and staff. That mindset followed me into command center operations, where I still build systems that connect people, break silos, and get things done. I started in EMS to help people—one patient at a time. In the ER, I could help a few more. As a liaison, I supported patients, families, and staff alike. But it wasn’t until I stepped into operations leadership that I realized the exponential impact I could make. With every improvement I lead, I’m helping hundreds—sometimes thousands—of patients and staff. That’s the power of healthcare administration done right, and it’s why I’m continually learning, growing, and preparing for executive leadership.
