About Philipp Menny

Bergwacht Schwarzwald is the mountain rescue organization which covers the entire mountain range of the Black Forest. The organization pursues one goal: To help people in distress, regardless of who they are or how they got into their situation in need of help. With around 22 local rescue centers and 1,450 volunteer members, of whom about 650 are actively envolved in rescue operations, the mountain rescuers provide rescue services in the Black Forest on behalf of the state of Baden-Württemberg, away from roads and settlements, from the north to the south of the Black Forest. In recent years, the Bergwacht Schwarzwald has developed into a modern, legally independent and non-profit rescue service organization.
