About Philipp V. Ramin

My passion is helping people adapt to continual change and to grow into new roles. I am the founder and CEO of i40 – the future skills company, a globally recognized leader in strategic upskilling for digital transformation, emerging technologies, and organizational change. Under my leadership, i40 has trained more than learners across 14 industries, delivering programs in 50 future skill areas and 20 languages worldwide. To accelerate high-quality corporate learning, I co-developed SkillDuck®, an AI-powered authoring platform that enables the rapid creation of interactive web-based trainings (WBTs). SkillDuck® combines generative AI, multi-agent collaboration, and instructional design intelligence to help organizations build tailor-made learning experiences within days — not weeks. Together with our partners, we develop award-winning corporate learning solutions. Recent recognitions include the eLearning Award 2022 for Instructional Design (with Continental), the eLearning Award 2023 for an immersive 3D learning environment (with BMW), the eLearning Award 2024 for Video Learning (with Schaeffler), and the eLearning Award 2025 in the category of Artificial Intelligence (with coeo). In 2024, i40 was also named one of the Top 10 Corporate Online Training Companies in Europe by HR Manager Magazine. Beyond my role as CEO, I serve on several advisory and supervisory boards. I am a Supervisory Board Member at BarthHaas Group, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Samhammer AG, and Academic Director at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, where I lead the executive program Digitalization Specialist (Fachwirt Digitalisierung). Additionally, I act as a Digital Advisor, Member of the Digital Advisory Board of the German Digital Advisors Network, and EU expert for the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform of the European Commission. I host the “Digikompetenz Podcast” and serve as editor of two widely referenced publications: the Handbook on Digital Competence Development and the international volume Digital Competence and Future Skills. As co-author of the two largest future trend studies on Artificial Intelligence and Deep Tech in the German-speaking world (published by MÜNCHNER KREIS and the Bertelsmann Foundation in 2021 and 2024, under the patronage of the Bavarian State Government), I contribute to shaping the strategic dialogue on the future of technology, work, and innovation across business and government.
