About Philipp Werner

Since 2011 I am working at Vector Informatik GmbH. I started in the embedded software departement in the embedded software code generation tool. I was responsible for several code generators for basis software modules in the diagnostic stack of AUTOSAR. At the end of 2014 I additionally worked in the research and development department of Vector in the area of automotive security. I successfully contributed to build up the automotive security solution of Vector. From February 2017 to September 2017 I was developing solutions in the field of hardware accelerators like GPUs and FPGAs for computational or graphical tasks. From September 2017 to May 2022 I was working in the incubation project for a UI/UX development tool chain and embedded framework and runtime. I impersonated the roles of project manager, product owner and system architect. Since June 2022 I am Research Engineer for Embedded Software again. My work currently centers around code centered tool chains, this means tools that support software engineers to develop embedded software. The current focus is on software product line management and the evaluation of how Rust (the programming language) can be used for embedded software development that follow quality management or safety relevant processes.
