About Philippa Kammerer

A disciplined and motivated natural leader holding a Bachelor of Health Science in Neuroscience, with First Class Honors in Neurophysiology from the University of Melbourne. With four years’ experience as a Research Technician at the Bionics Institute, I like to use my technical and research skills to support and drive research processes and experiments. I thrive in team environments that foster continuous improvement and learning of new skills. I work well with cross-functional teams. With 30 years of experience as a professional circus performer and over 20 as a coach, the core skills and competencies which define my work ethic and are transferable across industries include: cooperation, leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, discipline, creativity and an acute understanding of people. With work being acknowledged in a number of published academic papers, I aim to continue to learn and apply my research and technical laboratory skills in the biomedical research field. I have a strong interest in the human brain physiology and behavior and a desire to apply my knowledge, skills and work ethic in a related role.
