About Philippa Shellard

I am a senior business analyst at Transport for Greater Manchester, working on the implementation of the ‘Bee Network’, in which public transport will be centralised across Greater Manchester. Prior to my current role, i was a Senior BA at the DWP and, before that, I was a UX strategist at digital design firm magneticNorth, where I worked with clients on digital transformation projects, incorporating a user-centred design ethos. Previous to this I spent over two years in technology consulting at Accenture, where I worked on digital transformation projects with a large public sector client, a large financial services client and in the governance and process team for a leading energy company. Prior to my work in technology, I completed a PhD in chemistry from the University of Manchester. In addition to my academic achievements, I have also cared for those with terminal illnesses, Dementia, Alzheimer’s and schizophrenia. Although a physically and emotionally challenging job, I feel that this experience has been invaluable and has increased my patience and understanding. Outside of work, I am involved heavily in the Manchester musical theatre scene, performing at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Lowry theatres, among many others.
