About Philippa Ullmer

With a background in project coordination, research, and social care, I am currently an Operations Manager at Blue Balance Capital. In this role, I apply my organisational and communication skills to optimise asset management processes, streamline internal systems, and provide tailored support to the team, ensuring efficient operations and a well coordinated work environment. Beyond operational management, I am also deeply invested in coaching and professional development. I work closely with colleagues to refine their skills, navigate challenges, and build confidence in their roles—fostering both individual growth and a stronger, more cohesive team. By combining strategic thinking with a people-centered approach, I strive to create an environment where efficiency, collaboration, and continuous learning drive success. Whilst studying my MSc in Global Mental Health at the University of Glasgow, I focused on Research Methods, Law and Policy, and improving access to culturally sensitive mental health services. Following my studies, I moved to Austria to study German and gain further cultural insights. This experience has significantly enhanced my ability to connect with diverse communities and work across borders. During my time in Vienna, I volunteered with Vienna Mission for Ukraine (VM4U), deepening my understanding of culturally different approaches to support work and refugee resettlement. I’ve also developed a passion for human rights and improving access to mental health services for marginalised groups. Drawing from my diverse experience in both mental health support and project management, I bring a thoughtful, people-centered approach to every task. I am committed to creating meaningful impact by streamlining processes, fostering strong connections, and demonstrating empathy in all aspects of my work.
