With over a decade of experience in the aviation industry, I have built a diverse and accomplished career that reflects my dedication and passion for flying. My journey began as a Rostering Officer, where I spent four years. The role gave me an insight to the complexities of flight scheduling and crew management. This role provided a solid foundation in operational logistics and paved the way for my transition to the cockpit. Following my role as a Rostering Officer, I achieved my dream of becoming a First Officer on the Boeing 737. Transitioning to the role of First Officer on the Boeing 737 was a significant milestone. Over six years, I honed my flying skills and managed diverse flight operations, all while adapting to different company cultures and working environments. My time as a first officer has been tested through significant industry challenges, including company bankruptcies and the COVID-19 pandemic. Navigating through periods of economic downturn and global health crises has underscored my commitment to resilience and adaptability. Two years ago, I took on the role of Captain, which has been both challenging and rewarding. In this position, I have led flight crews with a focus on safety, efficiency, and excellence. Its a new chapter in my life and its definitely been a daunting challenge. Drawing on my experience and using all the resources available helps in making critical decisions under pressure and ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. Its important for me to always stay open to change and always be open to input and feedback on my role as a captain. You never stop learning as a pilot and I try to maintain this philosophy every time I go to work.
