A Journey of Creativity, Adventure, and Passion Born in Belgium, I grew up in Malmedy, a lively town near the Spa-Francorchamps race track. It was a place full of energy, shaped by the roar of engines on race weekends and the rhythm of the changing seasons. Life took an early turn when my father passed away at a young age. However, this never defined my childhood negatively. Instead, I was raised in a home filled with strength, passion, and creativity, thanks to my mother. A self-employed entrepreneur with boundless drive, she embraced every challenge. She founded Les Ateliers Créatifs, where children explored creativity through DIY workshops. Her passion for creating something from nothing became a source of inspiration. From an early age, I was always building, designing, and experimenting. LEGO was more than a toy—it was a playground for my imagination, helping me understand how things fit together. This curiosity would later lead me to engineering. Holidays were spent at my godmother’s farm, a place of both hard work and fun. There were always cousins and friends around, creating a lively and social atmosphere. We worked the land, cared for animals, and drove tractors long before we were old enough for a driver’s license. It was there that I learned teamwork, responsibility, and perseverance, all while enjoying every moment. Beyond the farm, the Scouts played an important role in shaping my values. More than just survival skills, it instilled moral values, discipline, and respect for others. The camaraderie was unforgettable, teaching us to rely on one another and work toward shared goals. Those years deeply influenced how I approached both challenges and opportunities. Early on, I worked various student jobs—in restaurants, breweries, forestry, and as a waiter. These experiences taught me hard work, patience, and adaptability, skills that would prove useful throughout my career. This foundation of creativity and resilience eventually led me to mechanical engineering, a field that perfectly combined innovation and technical expertise. Over the years, I have worked on groundbreaking technologies, but nothing has been more fulfilling than founding Neo Oiltools. With a vision to revolutionize drilling performance, I developed Neotork, an innovative tool designed to reduce downhole vibrations. The journey has been challenging, requiring engineering refinement and perseverance, but it has also been the most rewarding chapter of my career. Looking back, every experience has shaped how I think, create, and approach life with determination and passion.
