About Philippe Soria

Philippe is a native of France and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of Montpellier. He began his international career as a Process Engineer at JDS Uniphase Canada, where he was eventually transferred to upskill their growing Australian division. In 2004, he established Ostral, a Sydney-based IT consulting service provider, and later incorporated Ostral Pty Ltd in 2006 to offer multilingual technical support to IT companies such as Infomedia Ltd. Philippe went on to found Orbweaver in 2008, a web agency specializing in website development and hosting services for sole traders and small businesses. He also launched the Businesscardbox iPhone application and the Businessbox CRM, a single dashboard for managing client contacts, quotes, and invoices. The Businessbox CRM later found commercial applications in the finance and legal industry with the development of an online portfolio tracker. In 2012, Philippe relocated to Byron Bay with his young family and established with his partner a number of locally operated businesses, including Foundling.com.au, an ethical women's clothing brand, Wheelsnboards.com, a handmade personalized skateboard online store, Byronbaydrone.com.au, which offers aerial imagery and 3D mapping services and more recently byronbaybikes.com, a mobile bike rental services. Philippe is always open to new business opportunities, but he strives to maintain a healthy work-life balance by sharing his time between family, business, and his passion for surfing and water sports.
