As a senior technical translator with Eurostar, I support the engineering team’s objective to develop the depots’ capacity and capabilities on the continent (Belgium and France). My role is to translate Eurostar’s maintenance instructions and to support the Continental Liaison Engineer to develop the effectiveness of processes to make sure that the expectations between system engineers and the stakeholders at the continental depots match (implement-ability assessment) and, at the end, that the maintenance instructions required can be carried out where Eurostar desires. • I ensure that Eurostar fleet and maintenance procedures are meticulously translated and comprehensible for its continental maintenance suppliers' depots. • I establish and maintain translation standards in terms of quality and efficiency for Eurostar fleet and maintenance procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose, to enable their implementation by its continental maintenance suppliers in the safest and most efficient manner. • I am the contact for queries from Eurostar’s continental maintenance suppliers (depots), as directed by the Continental Liaison Engineer and provide feedback on source documents to the Engineering team (technical authoring). As a qualified and professional translator, I have acquired extensive experience with translation and revision in various domains (ICT, finance, legal matters, building, EU affairs). I worked as a Senior Translator, Translation Coordinator and Web Copywriter at Ypto (SNCB Group). I wrote, reviewed and translated our customer's intranet portal web pages to optimize readability, usability and target group response. I also carried out quality checks and maintenance on the page content.
