About Phillip Alvarez

I am driven and looking to begin my career in international relations. I am looking for fulfilling work that is people-facing. Currently I am working as a German teacher and a food service worker with the goal of developing my skills in interpersonal communication, customer service, and teaching. I graduated in 2023 from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in German Language and International Studies. In 2021, I managed all functions of a national leadership camp program with 45 participants to develop their leadership skills through experiential learning. I have learned the needs of event planning and project management as the president and co-founder of the University of Denver Running Club where I, working with a dedicated team, grew club membership to over 120 members in two years. As a Resident Assistant at DU, I oriented 34 residents to the campus by providing support, mentorship, and resources to them. In addition, I held individual meetings with each resident every quarter to check in on living situations, academic success, and resource utilization.
