About Phillip Bateman

After servicing in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, I became interested in Supply Chain Logistics within healthcare. My experience is vast in the Supply Chain Logistics industry and I've been just as enthusiastic, energized, and excited about my role and responsibilities as a Supply Chain professional today, as I was when I first started out a number of years ago. What drives me is the commitment & loyalty I thrive to exude to my fellow peers, staff members, and our senior leadership team at driving supply chain costs down and revenue up. There are many facets to achieving success in the healthcare industry; however, first and foremost you have to have a leadership team that has the vision and supports you in your endeavors to achieve that vision. You need a team who will work for you and with you to understand the objectives and goals you have been entrusted to achieve. It's not about ME, it's about US, we succeed and if need be, fail as a TEAM. One for all, all for one is the cliche that fits well. At this stage of my career with almost 25years in healthcare, I chose to step away from the hospital arena and take on a role with Capstone Health Alliance as a Director Member Services. I visit many of my friends and colleagues who continue to work within the hospitals, supporting their facility in either a senior leadership, mid-management, manager or supervisory role. As a Director Member Services, I strive to be an additional resource to help them find quality products that are contracted through the Capstone contract portfolio. If they are having difficulties on obtaining products, suitable substitutes, or having issues with vendors, I help them resolve issues that are relevant for their facility. I understand their language and stress that comes with their territory of Supply Chain. I want them to know I care about what they are doing and the challenges they face each and every day. My reward is helping them achieve their goals. Treat the person or vendor you meet with or talk to on the phone with the utmost respect, be professional, treat them as you would like to be treated if the roles were reversed. Lastly, don't strive to meet or exceed the proverbial Standard.you need to BE the Standard.
