About Phillip Gehlen

Ever since I was a little child, agriculture has been my passion. Having an entrepreneur dad seeking to turn farm operations more profitable & sustainable, encouraged me to gain hands-on experience working on farms while earning a solid understanding of key business drivers and management challenges. Throughout my bachelor's I had the privileged to lead teams in several non-profit initiatives aiming to boost both the student representation and future career prospects of my classmates. Moreover I had the opportunity to discover new fields of study that allowed me to develop a critical and analytical thinking. Over my +8 years of professional experience I held diverse and very enriching positions in the business development across the agrifood value chain. From having led the whole operation and management of a row crop seed business, I also had the opportunity to managed an agri retail store team and most recently drive the business deployment in Europe & LATAM of one of the most disruptive agtech in the world. Seen by my peers as a highly committed, enthusiastic, and proactive professional able to gain rapidly the big picture of things. Leveraging an innovative and goal-oriented mindset along with a team-oriented culture, determine my greatest strengths. I am driven towards facing challenging projects and ready to deliver high-value-added solutions seeking to overcome key issues in the agri-food space.
