About Phillip Kluttz

With over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, I am a network engineer who is passionate about Wi-Fi. I have a CWNA certification and a strong background in Juniper, Aruba, Cisco, and PaloAlto products. I work at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), where I support the wireless network infrastructure, the access layer, and the remote site deployments. I enjoy solving complex network problems, designing and planning WLAN solutions, and collaborating with other IT professionals and stakeholders. I value innovation, learning, and diversity, and I strive to deliver high-quality network services that meet the needs and expectations of the UNCG community. In my current role as a network engineer at UNCG, I am responsible for the wireless network engineering, which includes Juniper/Mist WLAN infrastructure, Aruba ClearPass authentication and policy management, and site surveys using Ekahau. I also manage the Juniper EX access layer using Mist and CLI, and Cisco routers and switches and firewalls. Additionally, I monitor the network performance and health using NetMRI, Akips, Zabbix, and other tools. I have also developed my skills in Linux system administration, troubleshooting, active directory, and system administration. I am proud of being part of a team that provides reliable, secure, and scalable network solutions for the UNCG campus.
