About Phillip Prude

My name is Phillip Prude, and I am currently a student at Western Michigan University. I am majoring in Business Management at the Haworth College of Business. My plans are to gain more experience in leadership roles to be an effective leader. Through my current leadership roles on campus and past work experience I have gained transferable job skills. Professional: I am currently working at PNC as a customer service representative in the Retail Banking and Distribution department. I have received awards for my quality performance, team interaction and recognition for being one of the top performers on my team with great leadership qualities. I have worked with the Detroit Police Department in the Junior Police Cadet Program that is geared towards the development of high school students in underprivileged homes. I worked as a Supervisor for two years, then promoted to Peer Counselor due to my conflict resolution, performance improvement and management skills. I then worked for Public Safety on Western Michigan’s campus transporting students, assisting with replacement or new faculty, staff, and student ID cards, as well as delegate parking during Western Michigan football games. Leadership: I hold an e-board position as the Event Manager for the Young Black Male Support Network. I have been a part of the Management Student Organization, which helped me with getting my job at PNC. I am the Management Consultant for All Natural Gentlemen Wooden Bow Ties, which is a startup business that a colleague of mine started and currently has a shop in Southfield, MI. I am active with community engagement and have taken leadership roles during Hashtag Lunch bag where we create food bags and distribute them to people in need throughout the community. I am always looking to be a part of success and an improving environment.
