About Phillip Smith

As a dedicated professional with a long history of serving the Cherry Creek School District, I've had the privilege of supporting the district's mission to provide an excellent education to all students. In 2015, I joined the IT department, bringing my skills and experience to a new role. I quickly grew into positions of increasing responsibility, becoming a Senior Technology Support Analyst in 2017. In 2020, I took on the leadership role of Field Support Team Lead, overseeing the day-to-day operations, processes, and project management for the team. During this time, I played a key role in ensuring the district's IT infrastructure was able to support the shift to remote learning during the pandemic. After successfully leading the Field Support Team, I made a strategic career shift in 2022 to join the Network Team as a Network Engineer. This new role has allowed me to leverage my technical expertise to focus on the design, implementation, and maintenance of the district's network infrastructure. I'm excited to bring my skills and experience to this new challenge, and I'm looking forward to continuing to contribute to the district's mission to provide an excellent education to all students by ensuring a robust and reliable network infrastructure.
