About Phillip Strickland

At West Carteret High School (WCHS), I received formal training in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and have maintained this expertise throughout my academic career. While obtaining my diploma, I concurrently enrolled at Carteret Community College eventually obtaining my AA degree with honors. I have extensive experience working with religious institutions and in religious studies, bolstering my skills as a writer, scholar, and orator, and an active citizen in the community. I later transferred to East Carolina University (ECU) to obtain my BA degree in anthropology, where I was trained and certified in forensic anthropology and cultural resource management (CRM), enhancing my skills with data entry, analysis, theory, and methodology. I have maintained a high standard of leadership and academic integrity through the course of my collegiate career, holding positions in various honor societies and student organizations, remaining flexible and enthusiastic in all my scholarly pursuits. Beyond academia, I have a fine affinity with a myriad of art forms, having acquired skills as a prolific writer, visual artist, and musician. Given these interdisciplinary proficiencies, my dynamic skillset is nothing short of holistic.
