About Phillip Taylor

I am a seasoned research associate with over eight years of expertise in computational fluid dynamics and engineering. I earned my PhD from Liverpool John Moores University in the development and optimization of passive textures for reducing drag and enhancing energy efficiency. I have grown to specialize in exploring the dynamics of turbulence, focusing on the underlying mechanisms that contribute to flow resistance, offering insights into how turbulence phenomena can be manipulated for improving efficiency and system performance. My research and engineering interests cover a wide variety of industrial and biomedical applications, having worked with industrial partners in the fields of turbomachinery and ink-roller printing, as well as cardiovascular specialists and doctors on arterial stents. I have developed a strong understanding of the industrial challenges posed across a range of fluid flow applications. Through this experience, I am well poised to apply and adapt cutting-edge technology and novel methods to tackle the significant computational, economic, and practical barriers that stand in the way. My proficiency in software development has allowed me to extract maximum efficiency from both commercial and open-source tools, alongside custom, in-house codes. I am committed to optimizing the entire CFD process, from geometry generation to post-processing and analysis.
