I am an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience spanning over several decades in various capacities within the education sector. My journey has equipped me with a broad skill set and deep knowledge of educational administration, curriculum development, and student success strategies. Currently, I serve as an Advisor at Arizona State University, where I provide strategic guidance to students, helping to shape academic programs and foster a culture of innovation and inclusion. My role involves mentoring students, advising on academic pathways, and collaborating with faculty to ensure the highest standards of educational excellence. Previously, I held the position of Assistant Superintendent for School Operations. In this role, I was responsible for the efficient management of school operations across the district. My responsibilities included budget oversight, policy implementation, and collaboration with educational staff to enhance operational efficiency and student outcomes. As a Principal Coach, I have had the privilege of working closely with school principals, helping them to develop their leadership skills and improve school management practices. My coaching has been instrumental in empowering school leaders to foster positive school cultures and achieve higher academic success. My tenure as a High School Principal was marked by significant improvements in student engagement, graduation rates, and overall school performance. I led a large and diverse school community, focusing on academic programming, staff development, and student welfare. My leadership initiatives supported both academic excellence and student well-being. I hold a master’s of education that has provided me with both theoretical and practical insights into effective school management and educational strategies. My advanced education has been foundational to my success in various leadership roles. My work also extends to international education as a School Administration Workshop Facilitator and School Visit Team Member for the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. In these roles, I have facilitated workshops, conducted school visits, and provided valuable feedback to enhance IB programs worldwide. Furthermore, I have experience with the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) system, where I have supported efforts to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success. My involvement with AVID has been instrumental in promoting academic rigor and student empowerment.
