About Phillip Young

My philosophy on leadership is to lead by example. This mindset has opened many opportunities throughout my career and I continue to be recognized as a strong, capable, and diligent leader. While I pride myself in my leadership and mentorship skills, I bring a wealth of technical service delivery knowledge from my experience leading many teams across a variety of industries. I am highly motivated individual whom uses a blend of both leadership and technical skills to offer a consultative, solutions-oriented approach to client and business needs. I strive to continually strive to improve myself, as such I have been on a Lean journey over the past 5 years and continue to learn how Lean thinking and strategies tie into such methodologies as; Agile, SCRUM, DevOps, SAFe, DAD and Six Sigma. Lean strategies and fundamentals helps teams to continually improve their quality and velocity. By using tools and strategies gained from my Lean journey I have been able to help clients improve multiple aspects of their IT delivery value chain such as; Leveraging Value Stream Mapping workshop to guide client management and multiple support teams resources through macro process-mapping exercise to understand a product stream end to end, identifying all bottlenecks and quality issues. Workshop included; multiple measurement points for each process step and a Future State Mapping workshop which identified opportunities to increase product stream efficiency by 80%
