Have run a respected boatyard and marina in Portland, Maine. We run the Maine Boatbuilders Show. We facilitate friends getting together an industry forum of personal connections and buyers connecting with sellers. For 29 years I have been so happy to make the contribution. I grow the business by attracting good people; good customers and allowing them to find their competencies and control their own lives. Families come first, but the business allows us to provide for our families. My goal is to continue to participate while encouraging the next generation to learn and have a positive experience as they take over the reins. The first rule here is that if we don't take care of each other we can't take care of the customers. We have great customers. They are friends and their boats are local or all over the world. My goal is to see our friends enjoy their boats; make a positive contribution to the local community, marine industry and Maine. Be intelligent about our impact on the environment because it is an absolute cornerstone of a sustainable future particularly as the population growth exerts more pressure on the environment. This is our space ship! Specialties: Cruising refits and rebuilds. Enjoy working with people who want to do refits for extended cruising, Supporting customers and other marine businesses on technical aspects inside an engine or system that are not practical for smaller businesses to have in house expertise. Just help when they need us. 1500 Ton Dry dock. Setting up systems for the next generation to become productive happy and comfortable in their expertise. I get the most pleasure from being a facilitator. My life has been all about increasing my circle of friends. The concept is knowing the difference between activity and progress. I keep an ear open for interesting projects that friends are involved in and my absolute joy is reaching into my network of friends and connecting "dots" that compliment the project.
