About Me I am a passionate and driven researcher with a strong foundation in educational, developmental, and community psychology. I recently earned my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), graduating with minors in Educational Psychology and Instructional Design and Training. Through my academic journey, I developed robust skills in quantitative and qualitative research design, data analysis, and research communication—skills I am excited to apply in roles that promote social good and meaningful change. My professional background is a unique blend of hands-on care, leadership, and research. With 5 years of experience supporting individuals with comorbid developmental disabilities and mental illnesses, and working as a patient care technician and patient observer/safety attendant, I have gained valuable insight into mental health care and patient advocacy. Additionally, I bring over a decade of leadership, management, and customer service experience, sharpening my problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. I am a curious, fast learner with a passion for problem-solving—and, admittedly, a self-proclaimed spreadsheet geek. I also have a creative side, with skills in Canva and data visualization, allowing me to communicate complex research findings in ways that are accessible and impactful for diverse audiences, including policymakers, educators, and community members. I am eager to connect with professionals and organizations offering opportunities in psychology, psychiatry, education, public policy, or social science research—whether through internships, research collaborations, or volunteer roles.
