About Phoenix Persson

I am an experienced Governance and Privacy Officer who works in a fast-pace and fast-growing international and multi-cultural company where I hold several roles, including overseeing a variety of the global compliance frameworks. Throughout my carrier, while being fully independent from the organisation, I have successfully built, managed, and led several strategical and operational frameworks: IT Governance framework, which I have helped to certify according to a number of ISO and medical standards; IT security framework, certification of which I have initiated and later assisted with; Global Data Protection framework, which spans across more than 20 countries, and which me and my team has built from zero and managed to certify in ISO27701 standard. In order to achieve these goals, I have led/I am leading effective multi-national teams remotely and onsite, as well as ensuring a strong stakeholders' management on all levels in order to provide operational and strategical alignment between the business and operational silos. Moreover, I have a large experience in running and advising organisations as a co-founder and a board member of a few national organisations and unions within the field of data privacy and whistleblower regulations. I have a mixed educational background, i.e. technical and managerial educations, as well as law courses. Furthermore I have grew up and worked in an international environment, which was filled with various cultures, and thus, vastly different types of people. All this gives a good set of skills to a profile that fits to global companies who want to build complex, but at the same time efficient, cross-functional IT/Data Protection/Compliance frameworks that will ensure the strategical and operational stability.
