About Phoenix Reisner

I am a currently a first year medical student at New York Institute of Technology looking to incite positive change in my future career as a physician. Prior to coming to medical school, I worked as an EMT-B and Dispatcher at Trans Am Ambulance. As a dispatcher, I act as a call-taker, prepare EMS charts for billing, as well as implement monthly quality assurance checks on medical paperwork. As an EMT, I conduct patient care adherent to NYS BLS protocols and make care decisions in critical emergency and non-emergency situations. I received my degree at Binghamton University in Integrative Neuroscience with a minor in Education. On-campus I worked in the Student-Athlete Success Center, where I assisted the academic advisers set aside for Division I athletes. Outside of school, I volunteered at Johnson City Middle school as a youth mentor. There I helped my mentee through classwork as well as learning interpersonal & conflict resolution skills.
