An advocate for the establishment of informational, palliative, and support resources for lung cancer patients and their families in Northeastern Pennsylvania. An advocate for broader lung screening protocols, and to increase the percentage of people obtaining lung cancer screenings in this region. Lung Cancer is overlooked by the residents of Luzerne and Lackawanna counties. The number of newly diagnosed lung cancers is above the national average. Over 300 new lung cancer patients enter a void of misinformation and stigma annually. My courageous battle as a lung cancer survivor is to establish relationships with national outreach programs to provide equity and empathy to other survivors in this region who live in isolation as I have.
