About Pierre Geslin

CHANGiNG THE WORLD, FROM WiTHiN. From international communication to the Inner Dialogue, communication in the broadest sense is my calling. From the journalism of the 80s (press, radio, photo) to the beginnings of the web in the mid-90s and the social networks of today, I have explored and worked with a wide range of communication channels in France, Australia (1981-2001), the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Back in Europe, I focused on adult education, particularly on business English and communication, totalling more than 8500 hours of training in a variety of companies - from SMEs to international groups (EXXON Mobil, IKEA, BNP Paribas, Faurecia, NAVAL-GROUP, POTENTIAL PROJECT France, etc.)- as well as through a number of training organisations such as Berlitz, GRETA, ARAXI, a number of CCI's in Belgium, France and Luxembourg, and Universities in Brittany, etc. I established Pierre GESLIN FORMATIONS as a certified training organisation (RTO) in 2018, and I offered professional English courses eligible for professional & public financing for the next 4 years. I was a lecturer in English at the University of Rennes 1 and the UCO for 5 years and coached many students and professionals on site or online, helping them improve their English communication skills. Over the years, I have also explored the Inner Dialogue, discovering Mindfulness Meditation and various other personal development systems in the early 1980s. Today I am an experienced meditator as well as an accredited meditation teacher (British School of Meditation). I have a particular interest in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction practices as defined by Dr Jon KABAT-ZINN, and am interested in introducing personal development and stress reduction techniques into the workplace and business. I am a certified MBSR Instructor through the Institute for Mindfulness-Based Approaches - IMA, via EUTHYMIA, its French program delivery arm, and I have conducted 8-week MBSR Programmes, in groups and individually, face-to-face and online since 2018. Today, I am based in Adelaide, in South Australia. And I have just completed successfully a Cert IV in Training & Assessment.
