About Pierre Pothier

Pierre Pothier holds a BA in computer science from University Laval. He began his career as a teacher at the college level where he participated in the development of several training programs in IT. He also collaborated in the realisation of several training manuals and teaching IT. In 1998, he reoriented his career as an IT manager and has since held several positions in manufacturing high tech ( EXFO ), in general insurance business ( L'Union Canadienne, a division of Co-Operators ), as VP of IT for CAA- Quebec, at Revenu Quebec as IT manager and now at Réseau de transport de la Capitale, as Manager Software integration and network componants for the RSTC project. He have managed IT teams, support, operations, supplier's relationships, business units. He also accompanied these organizations for the implementation of major projects such as the implementation of integrated solutions such as SAP, many technological infrastructure projects, cloud based solutions, deployment of telephony solutions, collaboration, restructuring of services, implementation of technological and methodological elements to achieve SOX compliance, PCI, etc. As a manager, he constantly seeks to establish the IT team as the internal business partner to address technology challenges, to the appropriation of tools and best practices in the field, while developing a sense of extension and listening to customers.
