About Pierre Smit

I am an exuberant lover of life who lives in the moment. I enjoy people, outdoor activities, food, animals and nature. In the workplace I am a confident leader with a down-to-earth attitude. I draw on my strong observational and social skills to create a positive, relaxed and pleasant work environment whilst keeping my eye on the end-goal. Developing people and mobilising teams are what I enjoy most. Nothing beats the feeling of achieving success as a team! Early on in my career it became clear to me that working with people is what I need in order to be happy and productive. As a result, although I successfully completed a three year diploma in Cost & Management Accounting, most of my work experience have in fact been in Sales, Key-Account Management and Management. My background in finance has contributed positively to my understanding and knowledge of data related tasks. For the past eight years I have had the privileged to be employed at Booking.com Cape Town as an Account Manager. I love everything about the organisation and find it to be an excellent fit for me.
