About Piers Verman

Results driven leader with more than 25 years delivering major infrastructure projects in Australia, Asia and Europe, including five years’ experience in the planning and management of a national business. I have an in-depth understanding of the requirements of road, rail and utility projects gained from first-hand technical and construction management experience on challenging civil projects, coupled with hard-earned knowledge of utility scale solar power plant design, construction, testing, commissioning and operation and maintenance.During my career I have been fortunate to work on many highly technical and challenging infrastructure projects within various contractual arrangements including D&C, Target Cost and Alliance frameworks. These projects have provided opportunity for me to demonstrate my leadership skills, in-depth technical knowledge and ability to engage with and motivate teams within a business or at project level. I have been involved at all levels of the project delivery team, in both technical and construction roles, including joint venture steering committees on major infrastructure projects greater than $5 billion. In my role as Operations Director I was responsible for leading our renewables business to win and execute work to achieve business plan objectives across all key result areas. I was also responsible for project governance, appointment of project management teams, and ensuring the best resources are provided to projects. My leadership led to the successful completion and operation of seven solar farms within the demanding Australian electrical energy market.
