About Piery Hamor

A licensed Electrical Engineer in the Philippines with experience primarily in the utilization of geothermal energy. Employed by Energy Development Corporation, the largest geothermal energy producer in the Philippines before migrating to Canada. At EDC, was trained in all aspects of geothermal energy utilization from exploration, development, and production stages, including geothermal power plant operations and maintenance. Trained in the operations of all the geothermal fields owned by the company and has extensive knowledge in geothermal power plant operations and maintenance from a year of on the job training. Was first hired as a Production Engineer then rose to Production Senior Supervisor for operations at Bacman Geothermal Production Field. Before leaving the company in 2013, was managing two geothermal production field operations in Bacman, in-charge of the day to day plant operations, including manpower supervision and scheduling, budgeting and administration, and coordination of major activities to different stakeholders. Was sent to Pertamina-Indonesia as a subject matter expert for geothermal field operations for several months as part of the company's project to invest outside of the country. And in addition to his responsibilities as a Sr. Supervisor was later assigned as a Project Coordinator for the initial development of a newly explored expansion site in Bacman. With the vast experience in geothermal energy industry, was able to gain exceptional leadership and management skills that can be utilized in future job opportunities. Currently in Canada working as a Journeyman Electrician and as a Maintenance Technician at GWS Tool Group based in Edmonton, Alberta. A certified Journeyman Electrician with a Red Seal endorsement with primary experience in industrial and commercial setting. Also completed a course leading to a 5th Class Power Engineering Certification and passed the examination given by ABSA with an above average rating.
