Experienced financial statement audit and accounting professional for over 20 years, with accounting and audit responsibilities for mid-sized public and non-public companies and start-up entities, specializing in application of U.S. GAAP and implementation process development for adoption of new accounting standards. Also gained valuable practical experience working as revenue recognition senior manager at Intuit Inc, a marketplace leader in personal finance, small business, tax and accounting software. Currently a shareholder and director in the Accounting Standards Group within CBIZ CPA's national office. Works with attest engagement teams and clients on the application of accounting standards, monitors accounting standard-setting bodies, develops internal guidance and external publications, and develops and leads education courses. Accounting areas of expertise include revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, debt and equity financing transactions and debt modifications, as well as consolidations.
