About Pim Klaver

I’m a strategy consultant and project manager who’s passionate about using data to drive success in sports. Since joining Hypercube in 2018, I’ve had the chance to work on all sorts of projects around competition formats and rankings. I’ve also been the main contact for UEFA, FIFA, CONCACAF and European Leagues. I studied econometrics at the University of Amsterdam, where I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 2016. During my studies, I took a two-year break to follow my love for cycling and raced for a Spanish amateur team. I started my career as a Growth Analyst at Picnic, an online supermarket, where I focused on improving first-order conversion rates and optimizing the customer experience through A/B testing and customer segmentation. But with my strong passion for sports, I soon moved to Hypercube, where I’ve led a variety of projects. Some highlights include optimizing the Swiss and Romanian Cup formats, developing a club and league ranking system for CONCACAF, restructuring the Dutch futsal and rugby pyramids, and helping clubs and national associations define their strategies. I’m all about strategic decision-making, involving stakeholders, project management, and digging into data to create real results in sports.
