Dr Pinakin V Parekh is a UK fellowship trained cardiologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore He subspecializes in interventional cardiology for the management of coronary artery disease and uses the latest methods in performing coronary angioplasties which incorporate intracoronary physiology and imaging (IVUS, OCT). His procedures are evidence based driven and his expertise includes complex anatomical subtypes such as the left main, bifurcations, severely calcified disease and chronic total occlusions. He evaluates and treats a wide spectrum of general cardiology associated symptoms such as palpitations, chest pains, giddiness, breathlessness and lower limb swelling. He routinely manages chronic cardiology risk factors and conditions which include hypertension, high cholesterol (dyslipidemia), diabetes, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, ischemia heart disease and rhythm disorders like atrial fibrillation He is a member of the Singapore Cardiac Society (SCS) and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (FAMS) in Singapore. He is also a member of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) and is registered medical practitioner with the UK General Medical Council. He had his fellowship training in Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH), United Kingdom. He has multiple international recognition for his achievements and has been inducted as a fellow in the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCP, Glasgow), Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology (FAPSIC) and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI, USA). He treats patients from around the world (Asia, Europe, UK, USA) and understands the different cardiovascular lifestyle and disease profile from each region. He is registered with the Cambodian Medical Council and regularly travel as an regional outreach to see patients there. As a hobby, he emcees events and finds the on-stage spontaneity needed to read and connect with an audience extremely exciting. He holds a 2nd dan Taekwondo black belt and is humbled by the lessons the martial art has taught him about life. He enjoys networking and never let's a conversation run dry.
