About Pintu Paul

I am a social geographer and demographer with a deep interest in gender issues. I completed my doctoral research at the Centre for the Study of Regional Development (CSRD) at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in India. My research focused on exploring the social-cultural context of child marriage and gender-based violence, with a particular focus on the Indian context. I am currently working as a research and data officer at ASPIRE in New Delhi, India. Prior to joining ASPIRE, I worked as a data analyst at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and as a research officer at the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) in Mumbai. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to advancing research on gender issues, particularly in the areas of child marriage, gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health, and gender equality. I believe that research has an important role to play in addressing these complex and interconnected issues, and I am passionate about using my skills and expertise to contribute to this important work. I have presented my research at various national and international conferences, and I have published articles in peer-reviewed journals and popular media outlets. I am always interested in connecting with others who share my passion for research related to gender issues and health, and I welcome opportunities to collaborate on new projects and initiatives.
