About Piotr Kozarzewski

Economist, sociologist and political scientist. I've got a Ph.D. degree in political science in a habilitation degree in political science in 2007 and a habilitation degree in economics in 2020. I am a member of the Supervisory Council of CASE - Center of Social and Economic Research and till October 2021 I was a chairman of the Board of Directors of CASE-Belarus. I took part in numerous research and development assistance projects in Poland and other post-communist countries devoted to institutional reforms, privatization, state ownership, corporate governance and international knowledge transfer. I'm an author or co-author of more than 200 studies, reports and articles in English, Polish, Russian, and Bulgarian; more than 100 of them have been published, including 5 books. In 2021, I published the book "State Corporate Control in Transition: Poland in a Comparative Perspective"(Palgrave Macmillan). Presently, I'm working on chapters for two monographs:"The Political Economy of Emerging Markets and Alternative Development Paths"(eds. Tamás Gerőcs and Judit Ricz, Palgrave Macmillan) and "Oxford Handbook of Central and East European Management and Organizations"(eds. Thomas Steger, Irma Rybnikova and Rainhart Lang, Oxford University Press). I speak Polish, English and Russian.
