About Piper Pearson

Piper Pearson is an alumna of Howard University in Washington, D.C, where she studied Strategic Legal and Management Communications, with a concentration in Public Relations, while minoring in African American Studies. Both on and off Howard’s campus, Piper developed her professional skills through leadership experiences. Honing in on these skills during her undergraduate educational experience has proven her ability to be decisive and solve problems; work with and manage a team; efficiently execute tasks; and obtain positive results. Studying strategic communications, or more specifically: public relations, has prepared Piper to work in a demanding industry that requires effective communication and involves brand management and representation. Furthermore, by pairing her undergraduate matriculation as a Howard University School of Communications major with ample mentorship and leadership opportunities (such as those with the BeyondZ organization and the YWCA), Piper has been sufficiently prepared for her career as a English/Language Arts teacher with KIPP Texas Public Charter Schools. Her goals in this role include, but are not limited to: building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with the students she encounters, as well as seeing her scholars to and through college. Piper is always looking for professional growth, network expansion and new opportunities to learn. She is tirelessly working to actualize her fullest potential through working, volunteering, and participating in educational enhancement programs, such as the Masters’ Program with the Relay Graduate School of Education and AmeriCorps membership, that will best develop her academic and professional qualities. She yearns to learn more about her fields and aspires to perfect her skills on her journey to service and success.
