About Pishoi Philips

My name is Pishoi Philips, I’m a graduate from Middlesex University with a 2:1 in Interior architecture. I am currently looking for an opportunity to work in my field of study, as I have had previous retail experiences and am now looking to progress further in my career. I consider myself to have great model making skills, I tend to do well with precision and accuracy when it comes to designing, this helps me visualise my designs better to understand and develop further. I tend to communicate my work through these type of programmes photoshop, VectorWorks, InDesign, cinema 4d and Sketchup they didn't take me long to learn how to use the programs and I can easily learn how to use others as I am a fast learner. I consider myself as a quick thinker and prefer to get things done efficiently according to my time schedule. also, I speak Arabic fluently and find that that can be an asset for you to help with designs or relationships in the Arabic community. so, I hope to gain this opportunity to work in a great team and develop further in this company. To get to know me better I was born and raised in Brighton in a Coptic orthodox community as I am half Sudanese and half Egyptian. I grew up traveling around the world every summer with my family to great cities and that is where I found my interest in architecture. Growing up I taught myself how to draw and get better in art as when I started it in year 9 that is wear my skills progress and helped me in my other subject product design I took it for GCSE and college and found the two to be my most favourite lessons. Outside of the classroom, my hobbies are basketball and cars. Other than architecture my love for cars has been around from a young age due to Having members of my family in other professions such as mechanical engineering, influenced my interests and hobby in cars. What design means to me. I believe that no design in the world is perfect there is always room for Improvement and that what I love about it. You can use other designer's work for inspiration to create your work and that gives you the chance to be another’s inspiration. Design can be altered and changed by other people with different mindset one person has, although designs may seem similar but small finesse details can change somethings appearance completely for people to see and enjoy. My main inspiration has always come from Kengo Kuma and Zaha Hadid’s work, a mixture of cultural and modern work Combined together well when blended their work is my inspiration and they are my role models in the design world.
