Piyush Kumar Mathur is an accomplished veteran of the Oil & Gas Industry with 37 years of extensive international experience in upstream oilfield operations. He is presently heading Material Management Division and additionally functioning as Support Manger with Fortune 500 company Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(ONGC). As Head of MM, he is looking after contracts, procurement, warehouses, tendering, post contract issues and as Support Manager he is managing the activities of finance, HR, logistics, legal, LAQ, medical services and security. With his initial induction as Electrical Engineer, he was exposed to different spaces of operations. Having worked in Operation & Maintenance he has developed technical expertise in drilling and production services, project management, Material Planning, manpower planning and strategy, financial analysis, legal issues, LAQ and HSE providing a strong tool for the management of Material Management effectively. He has successfully managed numerous projects from FEED to closure e.g. trunk pipeline, infrastructure, and Electrical systems. His technical proficiency, financial acumen and excellent negotiation skills have resulted in cost optimization, efficient operations, and resolution of sensitive issues. At Onshore Engineering Services, Delhi he was managing complex LSTK contracts as dealing officer, Design & TPI empanelment, Vendor meets, dispute resolution and RTI. He is a skilled manager with a motivational and interactive management approach. During international tenures at Imperial, Russia and GNPOC, Sudan headed Material Management department and additionally managed complex contracts like Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA), Tight Shale Hydro Frac, Effluent processing on closure, Warehouse relocation etc. • International exposure to working in a multicultural environment. Has led operations in Russia and Sudan. • Presently working as Support Manager-Chief General Manager, Head Material Management at ONGC, Jorhat.
