About Pj Portlock

I’m an award-winning multidisciplinary creative. I’ve cultivated a creative practice spanning nearly two decades. During that time my work has taken me across discipline and media to create meaningful connections between brands and their customers. I've received industry accolades, earned the trust of my clients, mentored my teams, and consistently delivered ambitious creative. I started my career as an illustrator and quickly pivoted to branding and graphic design. That led to creating apparel graphics for fashion, streetwear, and workwear brands. I began experimenting with 3D design and realized I had a talent for visualizing branded spaces. That led to a love of experiential work. I’ve been a designer, an art director, and a creative director. I’ve developed and directed: multi-channel campaigns, video & photo shoots, motion graphics, identity systems & brand guidelines, specialty packaging, branded environments, and IRL + XR experiences. I’ve composed music for shorts and spots. Produced albums and licensed music for film. I’ve owned and operated a design & screen printing shop. I’ve taught workshops and volunteered with schools & non-profits. At my core, I'm a thinker and a maker. I’ve been fortunate to work on many projects and create things that I’m proud of. I love sharing what I've learned, mentoring team members, and seeing them develop their creative confidence.
