About Plabon Rahman

I am a broadcast journalist from Bangladesh who have a versatile career of about 15 years. Now i am working as a News Editor and Talk Show host at News24, a 24 hour's news channel in Bangladesh. It’s a desk Job which control the daily activities of the television newsroom and the content of the website. Besides, I have to monitor all news feeds and other agency feeds for editing and prepare for broadcasting. It helps to grow my leadership quality by managing reporters and choosing news to on air. I had a dream to be a television Journalist and finally it was came true in 2009. I joined as a reporter at desh tv in 2009. I learnt a lot from desh TV and I visited Bandarban, Rangamati, khagrachari in my first year of journalism which built up my confidence. Actually my professional journey is remarkable with crucial roles such as Reporter at Somoy TV, ATN NEWS, Senior Reporter and talk show host at SATV and News24, News Editor at News24 among others. Basically, I have a versatile reporting career of about 14 years in Bangladeshi Television Media Where I covered National Election, Pollitics, mega projects of Bangladesh such as Padma Bridge, Metro Rail, Elevated Expressway and Public transport sector. Notably, I achieved PIB A2i Media Award of Reporting on information technology under TV Media category by Prime Ministers Office, UNDP, USAID, and Press institute Of Bangladesh(PIB) Jointly. Most importantly, I gained a vast knowledge about the local government sector in Bangladesh by hosting public talk Shaw in all around the country at News24 Television. It is named `Trinomule Jobabdihita’ which was a open air public show with local government representatives in front of their voters. It is a infotainment type program where people can talk about their sufferings, expectations, representatives initiatives, fault and question them. On the other hand, elected representatives can express their bindings, budget limitations and finally we collect some commitment from the representatives for the betterment of their public. I shoot almost 83 episodes of these show in different districts, upozilla's, municipalities and unions which enriched me about the local government scenario in Bangladesh. It was a great achievement in my journalism career at this young age which make me special than others.
