Present job responsibilities: Working as Manager (Mech. Maint) in Numaligarh Refinery Limited, Golaghat, Assam since 2009. Posted in mechanical maintenance department of different refinery units viz. MSP, SRU, HCU, CDU-VDU etc. during initial few years. Presently looking after mechanical maintenance related activities of Power plant, Nitrogen plant and Utility area. Mainly responsible for Power Plant related activities viz. Gas Turbine Generator, Steam Turbine Generator, Boiler, Cooling Tower, HP and LP air compressors etc. Our Power plant is having 2 numbers of GTG of 30 MW (Frame-6B, GE) each and one number Steam Turbine Generator of 12 MW(Make-BHEL). Our refinery is fully dependent on these power generators without having any grid and other source of power connectivity. This implies the importance and criticality of our power plant for keeping the refinery in operation. Planning & scheduling of various maintenance activities as per operational priority, minimizing machine downtime and available resources. Leading a maintenance team comprising of 70 members. Mechanical piping related work for both hydrocarbon, utility and cryogenic service. Monitoring of daily activities & inventory management. Procurement of all kinds of mechanical spares for Gas turbine, Steam turbine, Boilers, Compressors, Cooling tower, pipe & fittings, valves etc. Contracts and purchase orders are placed in Open tender, OEM, Proprietary etc. basis through Gem, CPP portal etc. Very much conversant in SAP, Aarohan, MS office etc. Excellent know how about Fire and Safety related aspects. Preventive, Predictive and Break down maintenance of rotary equipment besides day to day maintenance activities. Previous job Responsibilities: Worked as Assistant Driller in workover rigs in the oil fields of upper Assam area owned by M/s OIL and M/s ONGC. Well depths were normally in the range of 2500m to Worked as Driller in workover rigs in the oil fields of upper Assam and Gujrat area owned by M/s OIL and M/s ONGC. Lately involved in drilling rigs as well. Responsible for rig building, brake handling, draw works related job. Worked as rig in charge in workover rigs for almost 6 months before joining government sector. Acquired IWCF Driller certificate (Surface BOP Stack) from Petroleum India International, Mumbai, India in the year 2007.
