About Pooja Monga

With a diverse background spanning government, development, and private sectors, Pooja has experience in venture capital investing, portfolio management, development finance advisory, technology commercialization and project management. Pooja is a Senior Investment Associate at Beyond Capital Ventures (BCV), an emerging markets female led venture capital fund where she leads investments and partnerships in India. At BCV, she sources high-quality deals across healthcare, financial services and climate sectors, conducts due diligence, manages portfolio’s financial and impact performance, builds strategic partnerships with investors and policymakers, and spearheads operations in India. Previously, Pooja worked at KOIS, a global impact finance firm, where she structured blended finance projects in high-impact sectors such as healthcare, education, employment and environment to support social enterprises, global foundations and impact investors scale financing solutions for underserved communities. She also served as a Manager at Invest India, Government of India where she was part of the founding team at AGNIi, India’s National Technology Commercialization Program set up to bridge the gaps in the innovation ecosystem. She has experience designing evaluation frameworks to review early stage innovations seeking scale-up support and facilitating market access pathways in the form of pilot orders, incubation, acceleration, funding and knowledge sharing. Pooja is passionate about social impact and is very relationship driven. She has developed a strong network of startups, social enterprises, government bodies, enablers, venture capitalists, donor funds, corporates and foundations. She holds a Master’s degree from the London Business School and a Bachelor’s degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi.
